Eric Cummings is one of my church’s small group leaders. He also helped lead our response to aid the victims of Hurricane Ike, many of whom were our own congregants (I still have a blue tarp on my roof as I write this). We partnered with several other churches who had formed a group called C.O.R.E. (Christians Organized for Relief Efforts). This group previously ministered to those in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, when Katrina hit and Eric not only led in serving but stayed for quite some time to make sure everything went according to plan. Needless to say, he is a great guy! The following link will take you to NASCAR.com where a show called “NASCAR Angels” did a story on Eric…and also helped him out in a special way as a tribute to him and all he had done for those around him. I count it a blessing to have Eric and Cyndi as a part of our church. Enjoy.
