Mourning a Loss

The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away;
blessed be the name of the LORD
.”
– Job 1:21 (ESV)

This morning we excitedly drove to my wife’s OB to discover the gender of our latest kiddo. She was 16 weeks and we knew this sonogram would settle the deal – boy or girl. After waiting a while we were led into the sonogram room. Moments passed and our doctor (who we love dearly) asked me to take the boys out. I knew right away there was a problem. I returned to see my wife in tears. The news: no heartbeat. Apparently the baby had died about ten days ago. Needless to say it wasn’t a fun experience.

We have had two prior miscarriages but this one seemed to have all the right signs of a healthy pregnancy. But good signs or not, we left with the burden that is losing a kid in utero.

Please pray for the Arrington family as we move through this season of loss.

God is good. His Gospel is our treasure. His Kingdom has no end.

    Thanks Tracie. God is good and his grace is more than sufficient to carry us through. I appreciate your prayers.

  2. You and your family are in my prayers. I know so many friends who have lost little ones in the womb; it’s sometimes hard to realize God still has a plan. But He is God, on His throne, in the good times and bad.
