A Little Perspective from My Favorite Band

It’s no secret Radiohead has been my favorite band for some time. This video from UNICEF (with track donated by RH) gives me one more reason to like them all the more. Watch and get a little more perspective on what really happens to some children around the world. Sobering to say the least.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'”
– The Gospel According to St. Matthew 25:35-40

  1. Man, God has been tugging at my and Jason’s heart’s in this area. And a deep desire to do more is being born. Reading The Treasure Principle, Crazy Love, listening to the “James: Doing Faith” series, a bible study on Ruth, I could go on and on…but, in a seemingly short amount of time, God has placed adoption on our hearts. I would say our biggest fear now is letting worldly fears intervene. Hopefully, our first step forward, aside from prayer, is going to be attending the Together for Adoption Conference in Austin. Looks amazing.

Thanks Kelly for the thoughtful response. TFA is great! I’ll add it to the list.

  3. Thanks for sharing Yancey. Great video. There’s nothing sadder than seeing a filthy kid eating trash because his mom either can’t or forgot to feed him. I really believe that to address their Gospel need, which is their greatest need, these needs must be addressed as well.
