Off to Seminary

This coming weekend I will be getting on a plane and traveling to the Gateway City. Yes, I’m headed to St. Louis to begin my doctoral classes at Covenant Theological Seminary. It’s been well over a decade since I’ve sat at a desk, listen to a professor lecture and take notes. But to be honest, the closer it gets, the more excited I become. I love to learn. Hopefully, over the next couple of weeks that love for learning will be honored, challenged and encouraged. I also hope pursuing this degree helps me further maximize my redemptive potential for Christ and his kingdom. Finally, I hope to rekindle old friendships (I have a handful of friends who live in the Lou) and begin some new ones.

Lord, please bless my season at Covenant this year. Amen.

Now, let’s see if I can also catch a Card game, eat at The Hill, blow some steam off at Schlalfy’s Bottleworks and enjoy other great aspects of St. Louis!
