I am glad that I am apart of CCCC and the full mission stated in the great commission. Over the duration of my spiritual growth it has become my passion to make disciples of Jesus as a navigator. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing new believers going through conversion.

Great stuff. I grew up with the opposite perspective. I always viewed the church as being ineffective at most things because they are trying to do all things, like a hybrid bicycle (not good in the dirt, not good on the road, not fast, not comfortable, not cool looking, etc.). But now in my late 30's, I am coming around to an appreciation for the church, and I see no what you are talking about. I wish the church well.

it's interesting that many would argue that the rise of the para-church movement was a direct result of the local church's inability to provide the very things that she was called to do! In effect, the para-church organizations provided for a felt and obvious need (and gap).

Although I am all for the local church (I believe she is the future and hope of this world) I cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that God has used the para-church movement and countless organizations under that banner for immense and great good.

All mystery the same!
